We use a gel plate aka Gelli Plate as a means of printing. This is such a versatile way of printing and we have an array of shapes and sizes. Using acrylic paints, fresh and dried flowers, leaves and feathers we can create some truly stunning images. I will show you how to create simple silhouette prints, ghost prints (the more detailed prints) and how we can repeat the printing process to create more interesting layered image. Mono prints means that each of our prints are unique and cannot be recreated exactly many times over like a lino, stencil or stamp creates. This adds to the adventure and excitement of creating botanical mono prints. This is a great introduction to printing with acrylics which is great fun and you will create some stunning images and learn he basics of printing. However, if you'd like to delve deeper into printing with acrylics to learn other techniques please check out the 5 week course. These prints look stunning on a greetings card, in a frame as wall art, can be used a wrapping paper, or to cover a notebook or used for decopage. They are so versatile and truly beautiful. Tuition, all resources and refreshments included. It can be a little messy, old clothes or an apron are advised.
