Have you every wanted to design and make some bespoke silver jewellery; a pendant, earrings or charm? Let me show you how using precious metal metal clay. This really is a magical experience! The whole process in just amazing and what's more, it is recycled from scrap silver and from x-rays etc. During the session you can plan and try out your own design using a range of resources and tools before using the silver metal clay. There will be a range of natural objects such as shells and leaves, texture mats, shape cutters etc but if you feel you want to bring something along to incorporate into your design, please do. Sometimes we may make a mould to push our silver clay into, sometime we roll it and push in textures, sometimes we use cutters to give it shape and sometimes we may go freestyle. You will have 7g of silver clay to play with. This can make a large pendant or 2 medium sized pendants. Or one pendant and a pair of smaller earrings. It all depends on the size of your creation(s). You will go home, proudly wearing your silver jewellery or have it ready in a gift box if it's a pressie for someone special. The pendant, charm or earrings you create will be solid silver (99.9%) and could technically be hallmarked. However, it is expensive to do so and it doesn't have to be done unless your piece weighs over 7.78g We'll discuss this in the session. Tuition and refreshments included.
