Service Description
This is a weather dependant workshop because we need sunlight to activate the printing process (cloud is ok, but not rain). If we are rained off, I will quickly make myself available for another date (this can often be the next day if convenient for you). Cyanotype was first used in the 1840's for architects, astronomers and botanists as a way of copying their notes and detailed drawings. Now of course we have cameras, phones, photocopiers, scanners etc. We use 2 solutions and once mixed together, become light sensitive. We can use flowers and leaf cuttings to print. The cyan blue and the contrast with the white is just beautiful and will look incredible framed on your wall at home. Tuition, all resources and refreshments included. It can be a little messy, old clothes or an apron are advised. We can enjoy tea/coffee/sweet treat for daytime workshops & a glass or two of fizz for the evening events. Tuesday 2nd July at 10am - Wheathamspstead If the dates shown do not work for you then please get in touch and I'll see what I can do.
