Come along and make your very own professional lampshade. In this workshop you will learn how to make a stunning and professional lampshade with your own fabric. There are size options to choose from and choice of a white interior or metallic copper. A 20cm drum shade is ideal for a table lamp or a small single bedroom for example as a ceiling pendant light for a small room. A 30cm drum is ideal for most table lamps or as a ceiling pendant light. A 40cm drum shade is ideal for either a standard lamp, a ceiling pendant for a large room or for a large table lamp. All you need to do is choose and bring along your own fabric. You could recycle some curtains for example or go fabric shopping. A medium weight printed cotton, calico or velvet works very well. You could also use a light weight printed cotton. Just nothing with a stretch to it. We can iron it and cut it to size on the day. Below is a list of the size of fabric that you will need for each shade: 20cm shade = 80cm wide x 30cm depth 30cm shade = 110cm wide x 35cm depth 40cm shade = 140cm wide x 40cm depth Options & Prices: 20cm single sided shade (normal white lining to the inside) £45 30cm single sided shade(normal white lining to the inside) is £48 30cm metallic copper lined shade is £50 40cm single sided shade (normal white lining to the inside) £50 40cm metallic copper lined shade is £52 I host this workshop from my home studio in Wheathampstead and in the workshop space at Fashion n Fabrics, Beech Road, St Albans and more recently at Reveley Lodge in Bushey Heath. SEE BELOW FOR PARKING AND HOUSEKEEPING INFO. Wheathapstead has plenty of on street parking with no restrictions. This workshop is limited to small groups and therefore the session usually lasts 2.5/3 hours. Beech Road @ Fashion n Fabrics has a few car parking spaces to the rear and all around there is car parking but just ensure that you are not in a time restricted area. This workshop is limited to the group size and therefore the session usually lasts 2.5/3 hours. Reveley Lodge, 88 Elstree Rod, Bushey Heath WD23 4GL - there isn't any parking onsite but there are usually plenty of spaces on Elstree Road, Caldecote Gardens or Clay Lane. Refreshments / snack / lunch is available from the Garden Cafe. This session starts at 10.30 until 2.30 with a break for lunch/refreshments.
