Service Description
Lino Reduction is where we use one lino tile to carve a bit of the image away, then we print, carve some more and re-print with another colour, carve some more and re-print to build up several colours into the image. Yey! More colour in our prints! You can choose from a range of pot plant proforma's and add in detail or pattern to the pots or table cloths to make it more unique and select from a range of colours. We will briefly go into colour mixing to make the colours a little more interesting, but the main aim of this workshop is to understand how we plan and carry out the reduction process. I'll also show you how we can create a registration plate so that your prints are nicely aligned. You will also certainly become more confident with preparing the inks and loading up the tile, with using a registration plate, a printing press and with carving itself. In this printing session, you will create a series of prints. At least a set of around 6 finished multicoloured glorious prints which will be a limited edition series as with a Lino reduction, we can never recreate another set of prints from the Lino. Tuition, all resources and drinks are included but as this session runs 10am until 2.30pm so please bring along a salad or packed lunch.
